Message
"Photography
is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving.
What you have caught on film is captured
forever... It remembers little things, long
after you have forgotten
everything."

Photographs have a way of capturing a
moment in time unlike anything else
tangible. From the slight breeze you felt
on your face that sunny day at the end of an
epic hike...to the amazing smell of Grandma's
biscuits and gravy, a photograph will bring you
right back to the very spot so many years
ago. I challenge you to take an extra few
moments to absorb the details around you...from
the smells, to the sounds, to the patience and
skills involved, and most importantly remember
the joy you feel when capturing that very moment
in time.
We are so fortunate to share the same
passion in photography. The friendships
and camaraderie between our club members is
amazing. Thank you so much for being part
of the Oviedo Photo Club. Here's to a
great year!

DxO Photolab
Presentation
Gary Wolfe will demonstrate how to
use DxO Photolab (http://www.dxo.com/us/photography/photo-software/dxo-photolab). This
software includes a complete set of
smart-assisted corrections that you can manually
fine tune at any time. DxO allows you to
effectively remove noise, get rid of light
constraints, recover color details, apply
sophisticated optical corrections, and enhance
details.
Gary will show examples of enhancing
RAW files with the software and how the software
can help you extract the most out of what you
have. Note, many of the software's
features are applicable to other programs, while
some are specific to
DxO. |

will meet at Ol' Barn Junktiques of Geneva

Osceola

am. This is a unique
homestead with a huge barn full of cool junk and
antiques to photograph, along with super sweet
farm animals.
For those who may want
to join for lunch in the tea room, we
have to make reservations for lunch
by February
6, as they prepare lunch
upon request. Price for lunch is $15 per
person. This includes a soup, a
choose of sandwich, a salad, and a
dessert and tea/beverage.

helpful to printout your selection and bring
with you, as they prepare lunch specifically for
our group.

hobby supplies, they also
hold in-store photo classes,
including Basic Digital SLR Class and How To Use
Your Point & Shoot Camera. Classes are
being held Fridays and Saturdays. Call

Show your club spirit by adding our
club logo to your shirts, hats or bags.
You can order shirts and other items
in
several styles and colors from
Atticus Printing or bring in something you
already have and they can embroider the club
logo on it for a small
fee.
